As I have promise before, I'll would like to share my view on the reaction of Muslims on the video "Innocent of Muslim" that went viral in Youtube.
All I can say I'm very angry and upset.
But, I decided to make a post about this because there are people outside there who disputed the violent reactions made by Muslims all around the world.
The pondering issue that appear is that, is it necessary to react violently and riots uproariously?
My answer would be yes.
I've decide to hold this view in contrast with the common view that we Muslims shouldn't portray a violent image as this is against the character and attitude of a true believer. They back this up with stating the Prophet SAW has never return any offenses that were thrown to him.
Prophet Muhammad and One of his Jewish Neighbors:
One story related about the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, speaks
about a Jewish neighbor that used to try to irritate him by throwing
garbage in his way every day. One day, he walked out of his home to find
no garbage. He immediately went to the woman's house and inquired about
her to find that she was ill and he offered his assistance. She was so
moved and at the same time ashamed of her actions at his concern after
all she had done to him. This is a prime example of being a good
neighbor.
Now, I shall give my reasons of my inclination:
Referring to the story above, which is very famously stated in the religious books and lectures. Do you know that this is a fake story spoken from man to man? There is nowhere narration of authentic hadiths that can be found to quote this story. We cannot trace this story ! When it is not a narration from the true story, we cannot applied this moral. Why? Because it is a lie and as much as I would like to believe it, I can't because it's a bid'ah. Bid'ah can be defined as "A newly invented way [beliefs or action] in the religion, in
imitation of the Sharee'ah (prescribed Law), by which nearness to Allaah is
sought, [but] not being supported by any authentic proof - neither in its
foundations, nor in the manner in which it is performed." Al-I'tisaam of ash-Shaatibee
(1/37).
If you look it up in internet to satisfy your curiosity, you can find nothing. In fact, one of the brother in Islam commented on this as ;
It does not appear in any hadith, you would think that for it to be this
famous it would appear in at least .....one hadith.just one hadith....
but it doesn't appear in a SINGLE one.
The source of this story is very difficult to locate. The
"bahai"
sect has been accused of making it up in a biography. Many Shia are
known to have used this story to defend Islam. but they know its fake.
they are doing taqqiya (lieing to defend Islam). which some say is
acceptable and allowed in Islam.
The story is daif (weak), and their are many authentic hadith in which
people were killed for abusing the prophet that goes against the above
mentioned story.
Islam is very simple and easy to understand. Islam honor the creation of Allah, that human has feeling. Be it scared, happy, angry, upset, proud, snob, hatred and many more. Thus, Allah The All-Wise has bestow to us rewards if we are able to manage these feelings (the negative one) and warning with punishment if fail.
Muslims shall not be angry, but we can and allowed to in certain circumstances. This is so when it's concerning the physical and verbal attack to our community. We have rights in Islam to be very angry and upset. If we can defense our country when being attacked by enemies. Isn't this is also form of attack? Only difference is that they attack us verbally. Now they, Jews decided to use this tactic to poke us.. Why must we be silenced ??
It defies one's sense of Islam to believe that we would tolerate such an insult to our beloved Prophet SAW without being outrage.
Fight in the way of God those who fight against you, but do not transgress.
God does not love the transgressor. Quran 2:190
War is seen as justifiable and necessary to defend people's right to their
own beliefs, and once the believers have been given victory they should not
become triumphant or arrogant or have a sense of being a superpower, because the
promise of help given above and the rewards are for those who do not seek to
exalt themselves on earth or spread corruption (Meaning of Quran 28:83)
The only time when we should not react brutally if the other side lean towards peace.
And if they incline to peace, do so and put your trust in God. Even if they
intend to deceive you, remember that God is sufficient for you. Quran 8:61-2
But, if they don't, we mustn't sit and just watch
the movie being circulated widely like it doesn't matter. Yes, we must
not be angry, but not being an idiot! If you haven't watch the movie, I
reckon you watch it. Then you would also justified why many Muslims
became so angry and furious.
One conclusion I can say is that,
If you are not angry and do something about it when non-Muslims insult our Prophet SAW and our Religion, then you are not a true believer.
